Closing of the "Dyvo" Summer Camp

It was an honor to participate in the closing day of the "Dyvo" summer camp organized by the Ukrainian National Federation of Quebec. This camp provided 45 Ukrainian children with a safe and nurturing environment to rebuild after fleeing the war in Ukraine.

"Dyvo" means "wonder" in Ukrainian, and that’s exactly what this camp represented for these young people. Supported by the Canada Summer Jobs program, this camp allowed the children to grow, heal, and begin integrating into Quebec society. I am deeply moved by the resilience of these children and the dedication of the staff. Thank you to everyone who helped make this camp a reality.

Visit to Apathy is boring

I had the pleasure of visiting Apathy is boring, a non-partisan, non-profit organization that supports and educates young people to become active and engaged citizens in our Canadian democracy. This year marks their 20th anniversary, an impressive milestone and an opportunity to recognize their incredible work. So delighted that they are based right here with us in the Mile End.

Backpack Distribution

Together with Emmanuel Dubourg, we distributed backpacks filled with supplies to ensure students are well-prepared for the school year. Thanks to the incredible work of over 100 volunteers, we distributed 2,000 backpacks in just two days. The work accomplished by the Welcome Hall Mission is simply extraordinary!

"Pop Up" Booths in Côte-des-Neiges

I organized several "pop up" booths in Côte-des-Neiges to meet with you and answer your questions.

Thank you for your interest and for all these enriching conversations.  What a pride it is to represent you in Ottawa!

Canada Day 2024

It was a wonderful day at Martin Luther King Park in Côte-des-Neiges to celebrate Canada Day!

I was so happy to see so many of our neighbors come together to celebrate our beautiful country!

The "Au pied de la Montagne" Project

Our federal government has taken concrete steps to address the homelessness crisis in Montreal, in partnership with the Quebec government. I am proud to have announced a total funding of $57.5 million to support emergency and transitional housing projects. The "Au pied de la Montagne" project on Avenue du Parc, which is transforming a former hotel into 24 housing units with support spaces, was part of our transformative investments.
